Breast Enhancement

Breast Enlargement or Breast Augmentation: this operation aims to improve the size, shape and symmetry of the patient’s breasts.

Many people say that their breasts are too small, saggy and empty. Patients also complain that they want more fullness in the upper part of their breasts. Breast Implants will correct these problems by a simple and relatively painless procedure.

Depending on the patient’s needs and wishes Round or “Teardrop” shaped implants are placed on top or partially below the chest muscle via incisions hidden in the lower skin crease or in the areola margin.

Modern Implants are safe and are also used in Breast Cancer Reconstruction. The most popular implants have a cohesive silicone gel filling which are soft but cannot leak. These days the use of Polyurethane Foam Coating (Silimed, Brazil) on the surface of the implant prevents hardening of the implant capsule or rotation and movement of the implant in sporty people. These implants have been used in Brazil for multiple decades with great success and are affectionately known as “the furry Brazilians”.

The Breast Enlargement operation makes breast lumps easier to feel and the patient can still have mammograms. Patients with Breast implants may have a lower incidence of Breast Cancer.
