Lip Lines

Lip lines can be a curse for women, causing bleeding lipstick and being a very visible sign of ageing.

Lip lines run vertically above and below the lips causing a purse string appearance.  The lines can be a result of years of smoking but just as commonly it is as a result of genetics and having a large mouth.  The mouth is surrounded by a large muscle called orbicularis oris. With talking over the years this muscle causes permanent indentation lines around the mouth.

The solution to lip lines is to slightly weaken the muscle surrounding the mouth with a tiny amount of Botox and then filling the lines with dermal fillers such as Juvederm and Restylane.

The lines can also be improved with laser resurfacing.
